This is a small hobbyist sideline set up by me. I make recycled hens and other henrobelia. The idea came about when I was bored and I was trying to work out how to make a version of a hen ornament made from metal. Then I had an idea, why not make something similar out of plastic?
As stock increased and people became more interested I set up a website to sell it all on and this is it. I sell the original recycled hens, keyrings, wire hens and cockerals, egg cosies, cards, watercolours-painted by me of chickens and occasionally chicken bags. From all of the money taken I now give 10% of it to the Battery Hen Welfare Trust. For more information go to www.thehenshouse.co.uk
